For a modern building project in Qatar, we created a professional medium-sized sliding skylight system that perfectly combines functionality and aesthetics.
customer expectation:
First, it needs a large area of light but must avoid high indoor temperature; second, the skylight needs to be opened and closed flexibly and conveniently in order to adapt to the changing use of the scene; third, the overall design needs to be in line with the positioning of the building’s modern and minimalist style.
The site survey showed that the top of the building was a flat structure with a regular space in the installation area, which provided ideal conditions for the smooth operation of the pan-tilt skylight.
Design solution:
Our design solution adopts a high-strength aluminum alloy track system with double-layer insulating Low-E glass, which ensures excellent lighting performance and effectively blocks UV rays and heat conduction. The electrically operated pan-type opening method can be operated by the intelligent control system with a single button, realizing precise adjustment of the ventilation volume. The lines of the skylight are simple and smooth, and it is perfectly integrated with the building façade, showing excellent visual unity.
Project results:
This set of pan-tilt skylight system not only significantly improves the indoor natural light level, but also reduces the room temperature by 15%-20% through the scientific thermal insulation design. Its stable performance and elegant design have won high recognition from the client, providing a successful reference for similar building projects in the Middle East.
