In a high-end villa area in Qatar, Sunray has successfully created a breakthrough intelligent sunroom project. The project is located in the tropical desert climate zone at 25°16’N latitude, facing severe environmental challenges such as extreme heat, strong UV rays and frequent sand and dust.
customer expectation:
The client wanted to create a modern sunroom that could withstand temperatures up to 50°C, block strong ultraviolet rays, and have intelligent dimming functions, while maintaining architectural aesthetic unity and low maintenance costs.
The “Four Dimensions of Integration” innovative design program:
1) The material is made of triple composite glass (6mm+1.52PVB+6mm Low-E) and aviation grade 6063-T5 aluminum alloy frame;
(2) Intelligent system equipped with electrochromic dimming
3) The protection system adopts high-density dustproof screen mesh and intelligent motorized sunshade
4) Aesthetic treatment with hidden nodes and customized surface treatment
Project results:
It maintains a comfortable temperature difference of 8-10℃ during midday hours, reduces energy consumption by 35%, has a UV blocking rate of >99%, and extends the cleaning cycle to 180 days/times. This successful case not only meets all the needs of the owner, but also sets a new benchmark for building solutions under extreme climate conditions in the Middle East.
